What's all this about?

I’ve been told quite a lot of times that I can’t understand the game from a new player perspective because I started too long ago… So here I am, playing a new account from zero in the name of science 🙂

I will keep this post updated (like some sort of jurnal) with information and screenshots to see how fast I can get into the top 500 in the arena without any external NCG or help. So feel free to come back from time to time to see what’s new.

What's my strategy?

I already tested how far I can go with zero NCG (and the answer is over stage 200) so this time I will try to move as fast as I can with whatever items and NCG the game and the portal gives me.

I will delay buying items from the market for as much as I can, and I will not upgrade anything past +3 until I reach world 5.

The rules

I got the developers approval to have a second account whitelisted on the portal but I am not allowed to move any NCG out of it. So I will just spend in game everything I earn and if I ever give it up I will do a giveaway.

I am not allowed to get any NCG from other accounts (especially not from the one that has Wabbs on it) or from any exchange.

I am not allowed to get items for under the market prices from friends.

Learn more

Just for the record, I created Wabbz on Jul 12 2022. As you can see, one of the beauties of blockchain is that all sort of information is there forever to be accessed.

If some aspects from this walkthrough are unclear, you should read the 9Cclopedia. That’s an actual complete game guide, while on this article I’m just sharing my progress and thoughts about the game.

Frequently asked questions

How much will I earn by doing this?

Playing without any investment is a slow and steady game. In my opinion, it’s very hard to make any “profit” – since you should be spending all that you earn to become stronger.

And as a free to play player you can’t really move way faster than the other players, so that means that if you cash out you might be left behind.

But you get to play a very interesting and promising blockchain game without paying anything and if you ever feel like giving up you can sell your gear and cash out at any time.

And this is still an early time to start playing, so you will have a huge advantage in front of players that will come in a few months, and at that point you might be in a position to earn more.

What are the odds of someone copying this guide to have the same progress?

Pretty high but don’t expect it to be identical. You will get different crafts: and getting a great one first try or the 20th makes a big impact in how long it takes to progress

Market prices always change, so you might find items to be more expensive or why not, cheaper when you need them.

But if you follow the big idea you will get similar results.

What are the cons of doing this VS someone that starts with 50bucks?

Starting on zero means you can’t buy anything for a few days, but as you can see from my progress, you can move rather fast without using the market up to level 100. After that you kind of need to have luck and patience with crafts or to buy stuff to rush it.

Spending 50 dollars will make a huge difference after stage 200. I might be stuck for a few months but with funds you can buy some great items and move to top 300 or even better in under 2 months of playing.

Where will you see your character as f2p in 3 seasons? (3months) and with how much playtime do i need to sink in it?

In PvP – It depends a lot on what the others are doing, but I think I will get into the top 350.

I hope to beat stage 220 during that time.

Does using all free AP everyday a must or can I miss 2 or do only once a day?

I usually get 3 free AP refills per day. If you only get 2, that makes you 33% slower. But play how your program allows it, it’s a game after all 🙂

PvP is the best source of NCG. Do you have some tips for ranking higher?

Get better gear! 😛
With the current matchmaking system you can find easy targets. Have patience and look for safe battles. If there is no one you can beat in front of you, come back in a few hours. If there’s still no one to attack, get some safe points by fighting behind.

Is Pandora needed? Especially for someone new to PvP

Pandora or any other mods are never required. Basic pandora doesn’t tell you your chance to win anyway.

Just take it slowly and watch the fights to see what went wrong.

A few pointers:

  • Hit is very important. Having double the hit of the enemy will make him miss half of his attacks and he won’t do combos.
  • Speed is a big factor too. Double the speed, double the times you hit.
  • A double attack spell sword is your best pvp friend. But you can give up the spell for a sword with way more attack (the Heavy Sword earth is better than most spells swords before it).
  • Avoid enemies with a lot of spells and with stats close to you, those battles can be quite random.
  • If you have way more hit and speed, defense is not that important.

Pandora Mod

I will be using the Pandora box mod for this project.

The first major reason is that it allows me to have 2 games launched: so I can play my main character at the same time.

The second major perk is that I can use the raid function to send multiple tries on a stage with just one click – big real-time saver.

I also like the additional market filters and the auto AP collect feature (I can leave the game open and it will claim the action points when they are available)

Those features are all available in the basic / free option of Pandora.  It’s a third party application so there are some security concerns about it, so do your own research before you use it too.

From a point on I switched to Pandora Premium (OMS gave it to me for free) so that I can use the simulation feature and show you the chances of beating those stages. Premium also allows me to simulate battles with gear from other players and that helped a lot in figuring out the cheapest way to progress.
