yep, we can now miss in the arena
Until patch 100231 we always hit in the arena and that made it easy to always get combos with huge damage.
But from now on, you will need hit to strike your enemies, and it also applies to the spells, since everything can miss.
Character level doesn’t matter and we all start with a 40% chance to hit, unlike the campaign where it can go as low as 10% because of the level difference.
We can get an additional 50% chance to hit (for a total possible max chance of 90%) from the comparison of the attacker hit vs the defender hit.
The formula
(Attacker’s HIT – Defender’s HIT / 3 ) / Defender’s HIT*100
This value caps at 50 and it adds up to the 40 % chance given by default.
Example:
If both players have 5k hit
(5000-5000/3)/5000*100 =
(5000-1666)/5000*100=
3334/5000*100=
0.66*100=66%.
That’s over 50% so you get the max 50% bonus for a total of 90%
Another example:
If the attacker has 10k hit and the defender has 5k, the attacker will get the same 90% chance to hit but the defender will only have 56% chance.
Having more hit than your opponent won’t give you a better chance to hit BUT it will reduce his chance to hit you.
