Arena Season 4 will start with block 4,440,400 (July 7th) at it will end with block 4,541,200 (~July 21st) and it is pretty different from our previous seasons.
The first major change is that there is no reset after the end of week one, so the ranks keep going for the whole season.
The two combined weeks will have 20 ticket refreshes at an aproximate 16 hours interval, so 160 battles in total.
All the rewards will be given at the end of the season. You can stake for the bonus until the last block.
Here is the official announcement about it.
At the first glace it looks like we will be getting less than half of the old rewards. But since the arena will actually be half of each month, and since once every 4 seasons we have a Championship with bigger rewards (that one gives costumes or something special too), we get way more NCG over the span of each quarter.
Having NCG locked (staked) in the monster collection gives you extra NCG. The first level (50 NCG) gives no bonus, so the table above shows the extra gains for the 500 and 5k monsters.
Players can buy up to 80 extra tickets.
The first ticket costs 0.5 NCG and each ticket after it gets more expensive by 0.2 NCG. So ticket number 25 will cost 5 NCG and ticket 80 will be over 16 NCG.
In total, if someone wants to buy them all, it would cost him 672 NCG.
So yes, buying all the tickets is more expensive than what you earn from ranking in top 10 with max monster collection.
This new option is controversial for now so we will have to see how it works over this season.
Same as the previous seasons, we get medals for fighting in the arena, and we get gold at the end of the event according to how many medals we gathered.
Medals now have 100% chance to drop on wins and 0% on losses.
A total number of 240 medals from the normal seasons will be required to join the quarterly Championship. But you have 480 free tickets to gather them, so it’s easy.
We can’t see players with more than 100 points in front of us, so there no way to get more than 20 points / battle, not even with mods.
We get 18 points from enemies with equal to -100 points, 16 for players with -100 to -200 rating and 1 point below -201 difference.
The opponent selection screen has changed.
We can also change our gear before each attack. The gear we equip in the attack screen is used on the defenses too, so it’s different from our setup for the other game modes.
This was implemented during the off-season so we had time to figure out how it works and to test it out.
There is a detailed page that talks in detail about Hit and it also has a calculator to help you better understand how much hit you should use.
